Acquaintances

IMG_2050.jpeg

In 1972, four young strangers—an emancipated 15-year-old Danish orphan, a French law student, an Italian seminarian, and an American backpacker—cross paths on a patch of grass at the border of Switzerland and Italy. Drawn together by a shared sense of adventure, they decide to merge their separate journeys into one.

What begins as an idyllic odyssey soon turns into a turbulent exploration of identity, friendship, and the fragile nature of trust.

As they travel across Europe, their paths are marked by history's turbulent undercurrents: strikes, riots, bombings, and escalating violence. The group faces external dangers and internal conflicts that threaten to fracture their bond. Along the way, they encounter a priest who hides sinister intentions behind the mask of salvation, testing their beliefs and values.

Each must confront their past, face unspoken fears, and navigate the fragile line between salvation and destruction in a world teetering on the edge of change. Their shared journey will shape them in ways they never imagined—transforming them forever as they discover the complex interplay of history, fate, and the human heart.
